We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1John 5:20
Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21
Please enjoy this short movement practice.
In what are you devoted to?
In whom are you devoted to?
Simple questions…yet the answers will clearly represent our heart posture. I pray that something stirs in our heart; maybe even feeling some conviction. Along with the many distractions and our eyes too focused on worldly things, our devotion begins to wander. We begin to compromise and our heart can become divided.
Heart and Eyes on Jesus
The heart can be fickle. It must be guarded with a vengeance from the Devil’s lies and schemes. We can remember the words of Jesus as he was being tempted in the wilderness by Satan, “It is written: Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.” Luke 4:8
Friends, my prayer is that we confess our sin and ask for forgiveness. Let’s remember that He is faithful and just and will forgive us. 1 John 1:9
Lastly, let’s pray for our hearts to be realigned in wholehearted devotion to Him, fixing our eyes on the only One to sit on the throne!
As always, thank you for keeping things in focus.
Thank you for reading.
